I loved my Aunt Frances so much. What a lovely, lively, intelligent, generous, fun person she was. Her spirit lives on in her son Glenn, in me and in all the people she touched.
She touched a lot of people too. She volunteered at the women's shelter, she was a prayer shawl quilter at her church.
During World War II, she was the cryptologist who decoded the message to the allied forces in the Pacific that the Japanese had surrendered. The room, the fleet and the world awaited the message she revealed. They all erupted in cheers and shouts when the last word was pronounced. She considered that her 15 minutes of fame but as humble as she was, she rarely spoke of it.
I will miss this lady, but I'm glad she lived such a happy, worthwhile, life. She was blessed and she was a blessing. I can't say anything any more complementary.
I love you, Aunt Frances.

Fran was a pleasure to be around, a lovely lady. We taught Sunday School together and enjoyed Bible Study, I will never forget her. She will be missed by all.
