Obituary of Adelia Batease

Adelia Batease, 59, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday at Ellis Hospital. Born June 10, 1950 in Johnstown; she was the daughter of the late Tookie and Lillian Clemons Ellsworth. A devoted home maker, Adelia had worked at Coleco, Esquire Novelty and Decca Records early in her life. Family was her great joy and she loved being with friends and neighbors. She had been a bowler many years ago and also enjoyed puzzles and television. Survivors include her husband George Batease of Gloversville and her children: Jaime Bates of Gloversville, Sandra Anderson of Amsterdam and John Person of Gloversville. She is also survived by a sister Wanda Ellsworth of Gloversville seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces and nephews. Adelia was pre-deceased by brothers, Milton Snyder and Marty Jones and sisters, Isabel Dudley and Katherine Smith. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11-1 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
