Obituary of Carol R. Anderson

Carol Anderson, 75, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She was born October 17, 1934 in Medina, NY the daughter of the late Hoffman and Mabel Tripp Ruger. Carol worked as a secretary for the Town of Johnstown Clerks office for over thirty years. She married her sweetheart, Frederic Anderson on October 9, 1954. They shared over fifty one years together until his passing in January of 2006. She was a member of the Bleeker Fish and Game Club. Carol was an avid bowler; she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and traveling. Ever the social butterfly, she loved being around people and had many friends. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family. She will be very sadly missed. Survivors include two sons: Craig Anderson Connie of Mayfield and Eric Anderson Elizabeth of Amsterdam; a daughter, Susan Frasier Robert of Gloversville; eight grandchildren: Amanda, Jacob, Jacqueline, Samantha, Jamie, Gabrielle, Joshua and Logan and her beloved dog, Zeus. In addition to her husband, Carol was predeceased by a son, Scott Anderson and a brother, Gerald Ruger. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville at 12 p.m. There will be a visitation an hour prior to the service.
