Obituary of Katherine M. Lozada
Katherine M. Lozada, 22, of North Main Street, Gloversville, NY died peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2010 after a courageous battle with MS.
Affectionately known as "Kathy" or "Tinker Bell" she was the only daughter born to Luis Lozada and Lizzette Lopez on January 5, 1988. Kathy was a graduate of Amsterdam High School Class of 2006 and was attending FMCC in pursuit of her dream to become a nurse. A beautiful and smart individual, she worked very hard and put everyone before herself. With a heart of gold, she found great comfort in caring for others and frequented the Wells Daycare in Johnstown. She also enjoyed doing crafts and being surrounded by family and friends. Although she lived a short life, it was a full life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Her loving family includes her mother and "daddy" Lizzette and Wilfred A. Rosado of Gloversville, NY; her "dad" Luis Lozada of Amsterdam, NY; her five brothers, Luis Lozada and Christopher Lozada, both of Norfolk, VA, Brian Lozada of New Jersey, Kelvin Vasquez and Luis Lopez of Amsterdam, NY; her grandmother, Carmen Perez of Amsterdam, NY and her grandfather, Mariano Lopez of Springfield, MA: her godmother, Norma Rodriquez of Schenectady, NY; a special cousin, David Rosado of Amsterdam, NY; her beloved pets, Dallas and Leo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 1:00p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Gregory Wider officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 5 until 8p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the funeral home. In place of flowers, contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 421 New Karner Road, Suite 6, Albany, NY 12205.
