Obituary of Fred E. Flint

Fred E. Flint, age 75 of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Sunday February 21, 2010 at his home. He was born in Gloversville, NY on September 24, 1934 the son of the late Albert and Helen Reynolds Flint. Fred was educated in the Gloversville School District and worked locally for several leather tanneries for over 50 years. On October 1, 1955 Fred married Audrey Baird Flint and they have shared 54 years united in marriage. Fred was an avid golfer and also enjoyed bowling. Fred and his wife, Audrey belonged to a bowling league together called the Sunday Misfits. Fred loved to travel, as well as go to the casinos. In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by a daughter: Bonnie Frederick of Gloversville, two brothers: Everett Marge Flint of Gloversville, Elwood Roberta Flint of Gloversville and several nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by four brothers: Larry Flint, Albert Flint, Raymond Flint and Charles Flint. Friends and relative are invited and may call from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 24, 2010 at the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home; 51 Fremont Street; Gloversville. A Funeral Service will be conducted immediately following the conclusion of calling hours at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Cremation will take place at Parkview Crematorium, Schenectady. Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 6, 2010 at FernDale Cemetery in Johnstown.
