Obituary of Betty A. Wiltey

Betty A. Wiltey, age 80, of Gloversville passed away Thursday March 4, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gloversville on January 18, 1930 the daughter of the late Harry and Phena B. Edwards Morris. Following her mothers' death, Betty was raised by her stepmother Adelaide Morris. On November 25, 1979 she was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Wiltey. Betty enjoyed sitting at her nook and doing "Fill-In" crossword puzzles. But the one thing Betty enjoyed most of all was spending time with her children, grandchildren. Survivors include: 5 children: Diane L. Yost Dennis of Lasselsville, NY, Douglas J. Atty Gloria Slade of Gloversville, Rhonda Brown of Johnstown, Suzanne Wiltey Chris Puciato of Johnstown and Craig Wiltey Deb Dyer of Cobleskill; a daughter in law: Joan Wiltey of Nevada, and a sister Marilyn Salvione Joseph of Mayfield. Additional Survivors include: 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her Husband, parents and Adelaide, Betty was preceded in death by a son: Scott Edward Atty, a stepson: Butch Wiltey, as well as a brother Harry Morris Jr. Friends and relatives are invited and may call from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday March 7, 2010 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont Street; Gloversville. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Monday March 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place at Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville April 16 at 2pm.
