Obituary of Loren C. Paul

Loren C. Paul Sr., age 54, of Gloversville passed away on Sunday March 7, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born in Gloversville, NY on December 28, 1955 the son of the late Clifford and Florella Paul. Loren has been employed at Townsend Leather in Johnstown for over twenty years. On March 3, 1973 Loren married the former Donna Murray and they shared 37 years united in marriage. Loren loved to be in his garage, fixing things. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and watching wrestling on TV, as well as spending time in the woods. He was a loving, dedicated and hardworking father and grandfather. Loren loved his grandchildren. He was known to be a man of his word and have a big heart and would do anything for anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife of 37 years, Loren is survived by 3 sons: Loren C. Paul Jr. Marie of Gloversville, Christopher Paul Amy of Gloversville and Eric Paul of Gloversville; 5 grandchildren; Meagan, Erin, Chloe, Sarah and Katlyn. Additional survivors include: 2 brothers Clifford Paul of Gloversville, George Green of Palatine Bridge and a sister Linda Murray Ronald of Gloversville. As well as 2 nephews: Ronald Murray and Jim Green. In addition to his parents, Loren was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Nash. Friends and relatives are invited and may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont Street; Gloversville. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday March 11, 2010 with the Rev. Dr. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Northville in the spring.
