Obituary of Patricia Ann Fairchild
Patricia Ann Fairchild, 71 of Gloversville, passed away peacefully Monday, March 22, 2010.
She was born October 18, 1938 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Harry D. and Gertrude A. James Wager, Sr.
Patricia had a passion for the outdoors and spent a lot of time fishing, hunting and especially camping. She loved to go to her camp on Hooker Mountain in Schenevus. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed Myrtle Beach, SC. Riding motorcycles and going on Poker Runs was also a favorite of Patricia's. She liked to have fun and was game for just about anything. Most of all, she loved to be with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be very sadly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gregory J. Fairchild of Gloversville; two sons: David Young Vicky and Jeffrey Young Brenda both of Mayfield; two daughters: Robin Green Robert of Mayfield and Gretchen Fairchild of Gloversville; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers: Milton Wager of Gloversville and Carl Wager of MA; two sisters: Arlene Borrero of Florida and Lillian Zimmerman of NC and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
Family and friends are invited and may call Thursday, March 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 26 with the Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Interment will be at Broadalbin Union Rural Cemetery. Donations may be made in Patricia's memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205.
