Mrs. Centi, Helene, Tony, Mark, Theresa, John, Peg and families,
Our prayers go out to you all at this sorrowful time. We are so fortunate to have been able to have our fathers as long as we did and for them to see how successful and beautiful our own families became because of them. A true Italian "head of the household" Dad Mr. Centi was instilling strong work ethic, self-sacrificing beliefs, dignity and celebration traditions. There will never be another generation like his "forte e gentile" strong and gentle. To honor that we'll never forget and always remember that while we may be able to reach higher heights in our lives, it's only because we stand on their shoulders. When he came into the kitchen at the restaurant he would always stop by and make me laugh. When my mother was alive he always asked about her. Often telling me that she was in his prayers. my husband John and I had our first date over 40 years ago at Crystal Bar, and of course we had your Dad's infamous pizza. From that day on we, our family and friends, have always felt at home there. To the Centi family, we only knew Gabe from church where he came faithfully with his wife Teri and we wish to give our sympathy to the family, he was a nice man, my brother who lives in Deleware always went to Crystal Bar for Pizza when he was young and lived in the Amsterdam area and now when he comes for a visit we have a standing ritual to go to Crystal Bar for Pizza, so I am so sorry for the family to lose such a great man but he is with God in a better place, our sympathy to you Olga and Stewart Green

Dear cousins,
There are no words to express the emotions I have. Having lost my father less than a year ago I feel all that once again. That is how I felt about Gabe. He gave me the opportunity to work along side him, Tony, and Mark over twenty years ago. I learned much and became more closely linked with family. He had that effect on me. I know my father held him in high esteem as part of the family coming down from my grandmother Inglese. For my mother and my own immediate family we pray that the Lord keep you all in his care especially during these coming days. He has without a doubt welcomed Gabe home with open arms.
