Dear Mr. Sammons,
MaryAnne and I share so many great memories growing as "summer time" friends at Caroga Lake. Many of these great memories include you and Mrs. Sammons...A simple one that I will never forget is enjoying Mrs. Sammons' french toast for the first time ever at your camp..
My thoughts and condolences are with you and all of your family.
Fondly,
Diane

Hi Howard:
It was sad to read in today's Gazette of Betty's death. What a great lady she was! We all had some very fine memories up at our camp, and I can still see her swimming on those chilly mornings. Our best to you...I'll be forwarding the obituary to my sister in White River. My best wishes to you and to the kids.

My sympathies to Howard and the children. I knew Betty so well as she was a best friend to my mom. I have many fond memories of her and the great way a person felt just being in a room with her. When I was in the hospital she came to visit me and that was one of the highlights of my recovery. I have alot more memories of her and the wonderful affect she has had on our lives. Howard was blessed.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
For I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on rippened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there. I did not die.
