Dear Josie,
I'm sorry to hear of Fred's death. I saw him at the postoffice last year and he told me he was having some problems. As you know I car pooled with him to GE for several years after I got out of service. When I lost my driver's licence for 60 days in 1971 he told me he would cover for me and I could make it up later. That was his nature, always there to help others whenever he could. Fran joined the car pool when we married in 1976 and we wish you and your family the very best at this difficult time.

Josie & The Ward family, Just wanted you to know that this brother/husband of ours will always be in the Logan Families thoughts and prayers. He is the strongest brother/Bishop and married one of the best sisters the Lord has sent here to us. Fred and Josie brought my parents together before they left this mortal probation and were sealed as a loving couple with all the blessings that this gospel can afford a married couple in the eternities. I can not say enough of these two individuals and especially this great brother Fred who to me was a Step-Father and will always be thought of as.
My prayers and thoughts are with you Josie and the Ward family and may you find peace in all the Lords work by his hands at this time. Brother James Logan & Family!

Fred is a true Christian saint. It is a grace to have known him.
Sadness at his passing gives way to hope, since though in Adam all die, even so in Christ, shall all be made alive.

Dear Josie:
I am so sorry to read of your loss. Fred was such a gracious man, and I know that you have been truly blessed to have had him share your life for so long. In addition to all of his accomplishments, please know that the example of the love shared between you, in addition to the love given to family and friends, will prove to be the lasting legacy.

Josie and family - we feel so blessed to have been able to see you both on our visit to New York. Even though we are strong in the faith, death is an unwelcome part of life. You and Fred will be united again on the other side. He had so much love for you and everyone. He will leave many wonderful memories and lots of friends behind....God bless.....Brother and Sister Collins Matt Tinney's folks

My Dear Josie,
It has been with great sadness that I've learned of the passing of "our" dear Fred. He truly was a Saint as he fulfilled any job asked of him. He touched so many lives and many of us are better because of Fred, for he always had faith in us and never gave up on any of us!
My thoughts and happy memories are with you! I am your brother in the Gospel.

Josie,
Not sure if you'll remember me as Kelly or John, but I worked with Fred in the '70's and early '80's.
The time of the car accident, but after Trinidad.
Fred was not just my co-worker, he was my Mentor, friend and 2nd Dad.
I had lost my Dad in '74. Working with Fred was my salvation and calm.
I've never worked nor met a person --So easy to get along with.
My young self and young kids, were a constant point of discussion.
In death, we lose the body, but never the Spirit of the person. I may be selfish, but now my Dad & Fred are there in the Spirit to give me a hand.
Will be talking with you at the Church.
We lose only the the one's we love in body; the spirit lives and stays forever.
May God bless and give you all your needs at this time.

Brother and Sister Ward always stood as the "parents" for everyone in the Gloversville Branch of the church. While visiting the area last year, getting to see them was one of the highlights of our trip. The commitment and service Fred provided to all was nothing short of exemplary and he always served as an example for others to follow. The friendship provided by Fred as he helped my family get through some rough times many years ago is still remembered. I will never forget the sleigh riding parties at their house and working with him on the church additions he always seemed to know what to do and was a constant source of information. He will be missed greatly.
