Obituary of Louise C. Wenzel

Louise C. Wenzel, 85, of Upper Prospect Street, Fonda, passed away peacefully Saturday evening at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born June 7, 1924, in Queens, NY, the daughter of Antony and Lillian Horbert. Originally from Queens, she moved to long Island where she volunteered her time at a school, she and her husband moved to Fonda in 1987, she was a home maker. Louise was a very caring and loving person. She dedicated her time caring for her family, friends and neighbors. She cared for anything living and was passionate about it. She especially had a green thumb, growing and taking care of her many house plants, she was also an animal lover. In addition to her parents, Louise is predeceased by her husband William J. Wenzel. Survivors include her loving daughter Barbara Wenzel of Fonda, her son William T. Wenzel of North Carolina; her sister Doris Hamm; and three nieces, Doris Lynn Parslow, Ann Susan Hamm, and Deborah Jean Hamm. It was Louise's wishes to be cremated, and she will return to be with her loving daughter Barbara. There will be no funeral services. Cremation took place at Vale Crematorium in Schenectady. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville NY 12072.
