Obituary of Dorothy M. Jackowski

Dorothy M. Jackowski, age 82, of Johnstown passed away on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 8, 1927 the daughter of the late Paul and Mable Johnston. Dorothy enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed doing embroidery. Dorothy is survived by her four daughters: Sharon Terranova David of Johnstown, Linda Cue of Pahrump, Nevada, MaryLou Jackowski Larry of Warren Michigan and Helena Pond Richard of St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Additional survivors include 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, a sister in law MaryLou Johnston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother; Richard Paul Johnston and her former husband Harry Jackowski. There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place at Parkview Crematorium, Schenectady. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
