Obituary of Kathy Lynn Jennings

Mrs. Kathy Lynn Jennings, 52, of East Main Street, Nelliston, NY entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at home with her family by her side following a long battle with cancer. Born on May 5, 1957 in Amsterdam, NY she was the daughter of Alfred Hinz and Arlene Brooks. A lifelong area resident, Kathy was a 1973 graduate of Canajoharie High School. She then went onto Maria College where she obtained her education as a Legal Assistant. She was employed for Universal in Gloversville for many years, and most recently for the Amsterdam City Court until she could no longer perform her duties due to her illness. She was an avid walker, sports fan and enjoyed her time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her family includes her husband, Wendell Jennings whom she married on March 24, 1979; two sons, Josh Jennings and his fiancé, Fallon Dion of Latham, NY and Jeremy Jennings of Nelliston, NY; her mother, Arlene Brooks of Nelliston, NY; her father, Alfred Hinz, of New Milford, CT; two brothers, Kenneth Hinz and his wife Beth of Houston, TX and Jeffrey Hinz and his wife Karla of Littleton, CO; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 11 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Sandflats, Fonda. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 4 until 7p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
