Obituary of Leonard Arthur Slawson

Leonard Arthur Slawson, age 66, of Gloversville passed away Wednesday May 5, 2010 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville. Lenny was born in Utica, NY on September 15, 1943 the son of the Late Leonard Charles Slawson and Louise Litts Slawson. He worked as a Tractor Trailer Driver for North American. Lenny loved fishing, country music, especially Johnny Cash and he recently started to learn how to play guitar. But most of all Lenny loved spending time with his daughter. Lenny is survived by his daughter; Lorianne Zuckerwar of Gloversville, a granddaughter Penny Ann Zuckerwar and an uncle Arthur Litts Marie of Clifton Springs, NY. In addition to his parents, Lenny was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Louise DeCarolis. Friends and relatives are invited and may call from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 7, 2010 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont Street; Gloversville. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Friday May 7, 2010 in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville with the Rev Dr. R. W. Williams officiating.
