Obituary of Stacie L. Dorman
Stacie L. Dorman, 37, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully Monday, May 10, 2010 at Mountain Valley Hospice House with her loving family by her side.
She was born June 11, 1972 in Gloversville, the daughter of Douglas and Carlene Chichester Dorman.
Stacie worked as a waitress for various local restaurants, including Friendly's.
She enjoyed doing crafts and was extremely artistic; when she was younger she came in first place at an art show. Stacie loved fashion and she was very stylish, she always looked perfectly put together. She had a great sense of humor and a very quick wit; she was constantly making people laugh. Stacie had a strong desire to help people and was always willing to lend a hand or an ear to someone in need. She loved to tell stories about a gnome to her nieces and nephews. Most of all, she adored her children and loved spending time with them. Stacie will be very sadly missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Heather D'Onofrio; two sons: Nathaniel Beekman and Justice Beekman; her mother, Carlene Dorman of Mayfield; her father Douglas Dorman Betty of Milford, NY; a brother, Michael Dorman Jaycey of Gloversville; a half-brother, James Dorman of Milford, maternal grandmother, Marlene Chichester of St. Petersburg, FL;four uncles: Carl Chichester, Kevin Chichester, Donald Chichester and Raymond Dorman; four aunts: Kathy Simonds, Laurie Fallis, Bobette Bogrdus and Nanette Mayes; two nephews: Adrian and Dominic Dorman; a niece, Angelica Dorman and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, May 13 from 4 to 6 p.m at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m.with Reverend David Newkirk presiding. The service will conclude with a balloon release ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078 or to Bassett Health Care Center, 1 Atwell Road Cooperstown, NY 13326.
