My husband Doug and I send our deepest sympathy to Patty's family, especially her precious children. We knew Patty at Vernon Baptist Church many years ago and Patty was a wonderful leader in AWANA, faithfully teaching the very youngest God's word every week. She was a wonderful mother and we are grieved by her loss. May she be remembered for her sweet tenderness and the love that she showed you all, for the nurturing mother that she was. She was a real blessing from God!!! And now, may the Lord give each one of you His peace and comfort and love at this most difficult time. We are so sorry to hear about Patty. We lived next door to her when she lived on the farm with her father and step-mother in Canastota. When Kala was born. We had lost track of her in the last few years. I am so glad that she kept learning. We loved her and are very sad. Please except our condolences.

To Kala, your brothers and sister: To lose a parent so suddenly and at your young ages is such a difficult loss. The first time I met Patti she greeted me with a smile.
We were neighbors and became friends. She was my sister in Christ.
She was thoughtful, kind, and always had a warm smile to go along with her generous hug. She was able to bless those around her with her strength and courage.
Patti was a woman of grace and her delicate character illuminated patience which far exceeded the normal single working mom.
The Patti I will always admire was a dedicated mother, who cherished her children. In and through all things she gave her children her time, her talent, and her gift of love.
I am thankful someday I will see her again. Until then I will miss her, and her smile, and her gentle hug.
