Obituary of Dolores M. Krutz

Dolores M. Krutz, 73, of Krutz St., Amsterdam, passed away Saturday June 12, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam with her loving family at her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on December 23, 1936 a daughter of Carmen and Ethel Newkirk Bellen. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended local schools. Mrs. Krutz worked along with her husband Edward on the Krutz family farm for many years on Swart Hill. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending auctions and was a John Wayne fan. Her life's passion was her family where she enjoyed cooking and preparing family dinners with them. She married Edward O. Krutz on September 16, 1955. He passed away on November 23, 2009. Survivors include two sons, Sean Krutz Sharon of Johnstown, NY, Philip Krutz Becky-Jo of Amsterdam. One daughter, Johanna Delcostello Michael of Amsterdam. One brother Philip Bellen of Amsterdam and one sister Carol Furman of Amsterdam. Seven grandchildren, Merrill Wojcik, Bradley Wojcik, Sean Patrick Krutz, Sabrina Krutz, Shain Krutz, Cody John Krutz and Shelby Krutz. Three great-grandchildren, Madison Wojcik, Hunter Wojcik and Otto Wojcik. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She also leaves behind her cousin whom she treated like a sister, Shirley Kelly of Amsterdam, NY She was predeceased by a son Edward O. "Butch" Krutz Jr. in 1968. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at 2:30P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday June 14, 2010 Today from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the funeral home.
