Obituary of Eleanor Diehl
Eleanor Diehl, 88, of Rural Grove Road, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Sunday, June 27, 2010. She was born in Yonkers, NY November 28, 1921 a daughter of the late William F. and Eleanor Sakowicz Diehl.
She was raised in Yonkers and was a graduate of Commercial High School. In 1942 her family relocated to Charleston Four Corners and Eleanor took a job working at Lifesaver Company in Canajoharie.
Eleanor was a collector of clowns and smiling faces and enjoyed the outdoors. She had a deep love for animals in her life and will be sadly missed by her cats, Squeaky and Cookie.
Her loving family includes her sister Lillian Fish of Sprakers, NY. Nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her sisters Anne Brelesky and Dorothy Cheetham.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00AM on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Glen Villiage Cemetery, Logtown Road in the Town of Glen with Deacon Albert Sakowicz, officiating.
