Georgiann,Michelle,Johnny and Joanne,
Although I have not seen any of you in many years, I can still remember sitting on your front porch playing strat-o-matic I'm showing our age! or listening to a baseball game on the radio with you, Georgiann. Either we had been playing tennis or had been sitting around chatting about school, but we used to spend a lot of time together. Happy memories. What a great family and wonderful times. My sympathies to all of you on the passing of your Dad. JoMarie

At times like this it's sometimes hard to find words to express one's true feelings. Having been your neighbor since the late 50's, there are many awesome memories and the memories of your dad will always be with me. I don't have to tell YOU what a wonderful & funny person he was.
My heart and my tears are with you and your mom.

To the Calella Family: We are very sorry for your loss of Mr. Calella. Hard working family men like him were great roll models for those of us who grew up in the West End. I always enjoyed my conversations with him, from when I was on my bicycle as a kid by your house until I would see him and Mrs. Calella on their walks by my house. You are all in our thoughts and prayers

Aunt Madeline,
We are very sorry to hear of Uncle Joe's passing. Perhaps this quote may give you some comfort.
Death is nothing at all. I have slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed, at the little joke we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, without trace of shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was, there is an unbroken continuity. What is death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
With all our love and prayers,
Thomas and Janice Palmer

John,
I just wanted to tell how deeply sorry I was to hear of your fathers passing. He-and your mother-were part of that original Bacon School extended family, of which we all have such great memories, that really made our childhood in the west end great. What a wonderful man. No matter how long we went without seeing each other, or what context he saw me in, he ALWAYS remembered my name. God bless and rest in peace in peace, Mr. Calella.
