Obituary of Daniel Johnson

Mr. Daniel Johnson, 53 of Ft. Plain, passed away Thursday July 15, 2010. He was born May 28, 1957 in Ilion, NY, son of Eleanor Buyce Johnson of Gloversville and the late Floyd Johnson. Mr. Johnson was educated in Fonda-Fultonville Schools and employed in farming at the Virgil Talmadge farm in Auriesville. Daniel had also been employed as a logger with Buyce & Buyce in Meco and as a construction worker for E.E. Root & Sons throughout the northeast. Dan enjoyed a life long hobby of small and large engine repair. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister Carrie Moxham of Gloversville, three brothers; David Johnson of Oppenheim, Dwayne Johnson of Fonda and Dale Johnson Sr. Several nieces and nephews also survive. There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place at Parkview Crematory Schenectady. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
