Obituary of Ethel Yates

Ethel Perfetti Yates 97, formerly of the Hi-Rise Apartments, passed away peacefully Friday morning at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility. Born in Amsterdam on Oct. 5, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Augusto and Maria Bellardini Perfetti. Educated locally, she lived here her entire life. During World War II, she was employed by the General Electric Company for several years. A home maker, she was a devoted communicant of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church. Ethel remained keen of mind to the end and was always considerate of others. Her beloved husband, Milton Yates predeceased her on November 10, 1972. She leaves dear friends Dorothy Bombard and Amy Kondrat and their family as well as nieces and nephews. The Mass Of Christian Burial will be offered Monday at 9:15 am at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church by Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti. Interment is in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. It was Ethel's request that there be no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church.
