Obituary of Katherine Young

Canajoharie / Montgomery County Katherine "Katie" Young, 29, of Cliff Street, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 7, 2010 at her home. She was born in Amsterdam October 14, 1980 a daughter of David C. and Rosemary Field Reese of Canajoharie. Katie enjoyed playing softball and basketball, horseback riding and music. Her greatest joy, however, was being a devoted mom to her loving daughter. In addition to her parents, Katie's loving family includes her daughter Michelle Reese of Canajoharie, her husband Stephen Young of Canajoharie, her grandmother Margaret Siegle of Palatine, her sister Andrea Swain of Margate, FL, her brother Carl W. Reese of Sprakers, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Charlotte and Harry Young of Palatine Bridge and her godmother Marie Smith of Ft. Plain. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be at 3:00PM on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY 13317 with Pastor Zach LaBagh, officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to services on Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00PM at the funeral home.
