Obituary of Mary H. Schell

Mary H. Schell, 87, formerly of Arnold Avenue, Amsterdam, NY, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Mt. Loretto Nursing Home. Born in Amsterdam, NY on November 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Julia Sidlauscus. Mary was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. She worked with quality control for the former Eddy Brush Co. of Amsterdam. Mary was a communicant of the former St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by three nephews: Richard Kedik of Edinburg, Donald Paris of Halfmoon and Martin Paris of Lake Placid; four grand nephews, a grand niece and several great grand nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by two sisters, Sadie Paris and Jeanette Kedik. Funeral services will be held 10:00am Friday at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Robert DeMartinis officiating. Burial will follow at St. Casimir's Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9 until 10:00am on Friday at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
