Obituary of M. June Hyndman

M. June Hyndman, 83, of Prospect Avenue, passed away Monday afternoon at the Hospice House in Gloversville after a long illness. Born June 20, 1927 in Staten Island, New York she was the daughter of the late Howard H. and Pearl Koenig. In 1963 June moved to Perth, NY where she lived a number of years before moving to Gloversville where she has resided for 6 years. She was employed for many years in the garment district in New York City and later she worked as a switch board receptionist for Erving Trust Company in New York City. June was of the protestant faith, she also loved to read, garden and enjoyed playing bingo. She was married to William J. "Jack" Hyndman who passed away a number of years ago. Survivors include a brother Howard H. Koenig, Jr. of Perth, NY; a sister Pearl A. Trout of Seattle, WA and nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 7 PM at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Burial will be private and will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam. A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 6 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in June's memory to the Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078.
