Obituary of Barbara G. McNamara

Barbara G. McNamara, 71, formerly of Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully Sunday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born May 14, 1939 in Amsterdam, NY the daughter of Herbert and Gladys Male MacDougall. Barb was raised and resided in Amsterdam most of her life, she attended local schools. She was last employed for Amsterdam Printing and Litho, and worked the printing machines. She was known for being out spoken and speaking what was on her mind. She enjoyed crocheting, and was always working on some thing. Her loving family includes her son Richard Judy McNamara of Amsterdam, NY, Barbara Jeff Horning of Canajoharie, NY, and Valeda Parker of Amsterdam; 13 Grand Children, 2 Great Grand Children. She is also survived by her brother Harold MacDougall of Perth, NY as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins that also survive. Family will receive relatives and friends from 12 until 2 on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville NY 12072. A graveside funeral service will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Tribes Hill, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Barbara?s Memory to the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility, in care of the funeral home office.
