Obituary of Dorothy G. St.Clair

Dorothy G. St. Clair, 86, of Kline Street, Amsterdam, passed away suddenly at her home. Dorothy was born July 9, 1924 in Whitehall, NY. She moved to Amsterdam as a child, where she has since lived. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Blackmar St. Clair. She was employed at the Lawless Containers in Scotia for thirty years until retiring in 1989. Dorothy enjoyed bingo, collecting wind chimes and Indian memorabilia. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Raymond St. Clair and a daughter Audrey Munson. She is survived by five daughters Geraldine McDonald of Amsterdam, Gail Phillips of Amsterdam, Joan and husband Robert Wright of Hollywood, Fl , Marilyn Baker of Amsterdam and Sandra and husband George Gottsammer of East Greenbush, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, two nephews, a niece and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 24, 2010 at 10 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Dr. R. W. Williams officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda, NY. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
