Obituary of Rose O'Malley

Rose J. O'Malley, 89, of Prospect St., Amsterdam, passed away Friday October 29, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 30, 1921 a daughter of Anthony and Anna Sorrentino Aquarella. She was raised in Brooklyn and attended school there. She live in Brooklyn and for a time in New Jersey before moving to Amsterdam three years ago. Rose was a homemaker and took good care of her family. She married Andrew E. O'Malley on September 20, 1941. He passed away in 1988. Rose is survived by a daughter, Roseann Caputo of Amsterdam and a son Andrew O'Malley II of Brooklyn, NY. Five grandchildren, Ron Chapman, Denise Chapman, Andrew O'Malley III, Robert O'Malley and Michael O'Malley. Two sisters, Maryann Hepburn and Frances Stanley. Seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Family and Friends are invited and may call on Sunday October 31, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY. Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family during the calling period on Sunday. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Amsterdam.
