Obituary of Jean L. Wohlgemuth

Jean L Oare Wohlgemuth, 70, of Ilion, went to her rest Sunday, November 14, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica. She was born January 25, 1940, the daughter of the late Alton and Lorena Lorenzi Oare. Jean was educated in Gloversville Schools. She enjoyed bowling and bingo and loved to sing and dance. She will be sadly missed. Jean is survived by her husband, Raymond Wohlgemuth of Ft. Plain; four sisters: Ethel Ambrosino Joseph of Gloversville, Phyllis Oare of Gloversville, Marilyn Fredericks Earl of Palantine Bridge and Gloria Hawver Robert of Ft. Plain; three brothers: James Oare Karen of Gloversville, John D. Oare of Portsmouth, VA and Paul Oare Lori of Port St. Lucie, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by a sister, Mary E. Smith and a brother, Raymond Oare. Family and friends are invited and may call Friday, November 19 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078 where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Dr. R. W. Williams presiding. Interment will take place at Fern Dale Cemetery in Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choosing.
