Obituary of Jeff A. Cowles

Jeff A. Cowles, 48, of Gloversville, passed away at home, Sunday, November 14, 2010 with his loving family at his side. He was born in Gloversville January 14, 1962 the son of the late John and Lillian Barclay Cowles. Jeff was employed by the Gloversville Enlarged School District where he worked as a janitor. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the Fonda Speedway. He had a passion for working on cars and was a great mechanic. Jeff especially loved being with his children and his new grandson. He will be sadly missed. Survivors include his wife, Janet Hine Cowles, of Gloversville, whom he married on November 21, 1992; a daughter, Amanda Cowles Joey DiScioscia IV of Gloversville; a son, Cody Cowles of Gloversville; a grandson, Joey DiScioscia V; a sister, Jennifer Culp Chris of Scotia and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeff was predeceased by a son, Garret Trace Cowles. Family and friends are invited and may call Wednesday, November 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a memorial visitation at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville where a funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. with Pastor Chris Hamm presiding.
