Obituary of Helen Unger-Darling

Helen Unger-Darling, age 95, of Gloversville passed away on Wednesday November 17, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She was born in Gloversville, NY on September 25, 1915 the daughter of the late Erwin and Mildred Johnson Cottrell. She worked for many years as a sales associate for the former Britts Department Store in Gloversville. She was a member of the Ida McGinnis Senior Center. Helen enjoyed bingo and playing cards. In her younger years, Helen enjoyed bowling. Helen is survived by a son, Patrick Unger Karen of Fort Johnson, NY, a daughter Elaine Boyd Calvin of Gloversville, NY, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two husbands and a sister, Ruth Mineier. There will be no services or calling hours. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont Street; Gloversville.
