Obituary of Norene Koitto

Norene Koitto, 82, of Old River Rd., Fultonville, NY passed away Wednesday morning November 17, 2010 at the River Ridge Living Center LLC. in Amsterdam, NY. Born in Oneida, NY on November 6, 1928, she was the daughter of Otto and Florence Joslin Davis. She was raised in Oneida, NY and attended Oneida High School. She later moved to the Fultonville, NY area and had been a resident for over 49 years. Norene was a member of the Fultonville Reformed Church. She enjoyed reading, puzzle books and being with her family. She married Arveed "Al" Koitto on September 5, 1953 who predeceased her. She was a Past Deacon of the Fultonville Reformed Church and attended the Christian Women's Club in Johnstown, NY. Survivors include one son, Donald Koitto of Fultonville, NY, one daughter Beth Oconitrillo Gerardo "Primo" of Fultonville, NY, one sister Reva Houseman, two grandchildren, Michael Oconitrillo, Teresa Mormile Jason. Two great-grandchildren Gabriel and Megan Mormile. Norene was predeceased by her parent, one brother, Robert Davis, two sisters, Doris Durkee and Leah Smith. Special thanks to everyone at the Sanford Home for Women, Dr. Goslin and his wonderful staff, and the kind and compassionate staff at the River Ridge Living Center for all your kindness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 20, 2010 at 11:00A.M. at the Jackson and Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY with Rev. Jane Hubschmitt presiding. Interment will follow in Maple Ave Cemetery, Fultonville. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday November 19, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00P.M at the funeral home.
