I was so sadened to hear about George. Although many years have passed since I had seen him, I have many happy memories of George when Gail and I were teens. I can remember having coffee and George picking on me and always making me laugh. He was a good man with a warm heart. He will live on in our hearts forever.

I remember George as being very laid back and always having a great sense of humor. He loved having company and always had a story to tell.He was also very devoted to all of you. Dear dad: I want you to know that we will all take care of mom and I know that your watching us from above. Your grandsons have been staying with her since you've passed. I hope you are having lots of fun up there making cakes with aunt Doris, getting yelled at by Gail, visiting with your mom & dad, probably playing cards with your brothers and cheating, and going fishing with Rickey. I just wanted to let you know that I will miss you deerly and please be there to walk us up home when it's our time to go. I am so glad that you had the chance to hang on Jayden, that's all you kept saying "after Jayden is born it's my time to go." Please watch over all of us and help us to be strong for mom. As strong as you were all your life, I need some of your strength right now. Your favorite holdiay is coming up this week, and I will eat a piece of pumpkin pie for you. I love you pops and will always miss you deerely. On Thursday I will be grateful that you no longer have to suffer.....

I am so sorry you all are going through this pain. You all know he loved you very much and wants you all to be strong. I have many happy memories playing cards, calling him names, VERN, having coffee, and just hanging around. Vern was an awesome guy always wanted to make someone smile, and even when he was mad we had to laugh at him. I had the honor to be his barber and to have him in my life.
