My thoughts are with your family at this time. I have always enjoyed the carvings that Jim created. I had him carve things for my home and will always cherish them. He was very talented and was never to busy to stop and chat when I came to the store.

So sorry to hear of Jim's home going. It seems to soon, but we know God has his own time. I have the deepest respect for Jim. He was a continual encouragement in the faith, just by how he lived his life and served the Lord in so many ministries. We all have our bumps in the road and I'm glad I will see Jim on the other side of this one someday. I feel privilged to have know him. You family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I just want to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts and words during this time. Hearing all the stories, the encounters, and the many testimonies of Dad's life has been so awesome. Seeing so many of you at the viewing and remembering those times was healing and something I will never forget. My father was a man who loved God and lived it with his life. I am amazed at how many lives he has touched - so many people knew him and loved him and that is such a legacy to leave behind.

Dear Petrillo Family-
We are so sorry for your sudden tragic loss. We have many fond memories of Jim from PBC Days. Jim did great work in our Pine Street Home. Jim was a great neighbor here in Vail Mills. This past Sept after Kelly's Surgery the only easy way to get her in and out of the house was to put her in a chair and carry the chair into the house. On one occasion we had not found anyone that could help me carry her in. We pulled into Jim's Wood Carving Business and I explained my dilemna. He jumped in his truck and came right over to help us. Saturday A.M. I was pulling out of Dunkin Donuts and caught a glimpse of him walking from his place across the Parking Lot to Dunkin Donuts. I nodded and went on about my Sat. A.M. List...Who would have known he would be ushered into eternity moments later? To each of you we send our deepest sympathy and pray this will be a time of strengthend and or new faith for each of you.

I came to know Jim from working at the farmstand near Wildfire Restaurant. He would come over and we'd engage in conversation while he was picking out the perfect watermelon. I once told him that I wanted to purchase a house and he stood with me for about 15 minutes having me write down all the most important questions to ask. He was a kind man with a good sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

It was a great privilege for us to both know and to serve with Jim at Perth Bible Church. We will fondly remember his story telling in children's church, as well as being a bus captain, deacon, and a level head for many of the ideas that various ministries would put forth to him. It is so wonderful to know that we too, shall see him again at a future time.

I was with Jim in the best of times at Perth Bible. Sportsmens dinners,Bus routes, Father/son overnights, visitation, prayer mtgs, work crews, revival, evangelism,Christmas programs...you name it he was there. He was as the gyreens say...Semper Fideles. Who is to know what turns a mans life will take and how he affects others in it ? We all must stand alone in the end before God. As for me I'm glad to have known him these last 23 years,he has enriched my life and I pray that the fruits of his ministry shall remain.

To the Petrillo family,
We met Jim only briefly as we stopped in on the Chester VT carving event. I am a carver out of CT. Although, our meeting was short, it was enjoyable. The whole time Jim was enthusiastic and as I have come to learn, trying to help, or to impart his knowledge and abilities, as was his way.
We are sorry for your loss, our sincere condolences.
