Obituary of Frances T. Marotta

Frances T. Marotta, 96, formerly of the Wallins Corners Apartments, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon at the River Ridge Living Center. Born in Amsterdam on June 4, 1914, the daughter of the late Ralph and Lena Trunkle Fabozzi, she attended local schools and was a lifelong resident. Frances worked as a spinner for Mohawk Carpets until she retired in 1960. She was a parishioner of the former St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church and most recently Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church. Her beloved husband, Ralph Marotta Sr. predeceased her in April 1997. She also lost her son Ralph Marotta Jr. Her loving family includes her son Robert P. Marotta and his wife Roberta of Ocala, Fla.; a daughter in law Sally Marotta of Gloversville; grandchildren; Emily, Chris, Ralph III, and Rhonda; seven great grandchildren; brothers Lewis Fabozzi of Amsterdam and John Fabozzi of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a dear friend Virginia Mee as well as many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the family s convenience at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis, officiating. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in St. Michael s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the River Ridge Living Center, Activities Fund in care of the funeral home office.
