Obituary of Michael Marcinkiewicz

Michael Marcinkiewicz, 47, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, December 1, 2010 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY with his loving family at his side. He was born October 15, 1963 in Amsterdam, the son of Victor J. and Anna Russo Marcinkiewicz. Michael is of the Roman Catholic Faith and a former communicant of St. Casimir?s Church. He is a life long resident of Amsterdam and attended local schools, graduating in 1983 from Amsterdam High School. Mike was known around town as ?Wheels? he traveled around the city and was a familiar face to many. He especially liked to spend time at the Amsterdam Mall. He had a close loving relationship with his nieces and nephew, he spent a lot of time with them and enjoyed their friendship. He was also a caretaker to his mother. His loving family includes his mother and best friend, Anna Marcinkiewicz of Amsterdam, NY, his sisters Sue Ann Scott Silva of Sebastian, FL, Lori Miguel Monge and Gina Joseph Politi of Amsterdam, NY. Special nieces and nephew Jason Paige Silva of TX, Jennifer Silva of FL, Natalee Ryan Malpass of Amsterdam and Heather Monge also of Amsterdam, a great niece, Grace Malpass also survives. Funeral services for Michael will be on Saturday, December 4, 2010, a brief prayer service will be held at 10AM at the Betz Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church at 11 AM, Fr. John Medwid will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Casimir?s Cemetery in Amsterdam. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 4 until 7 at the Betz Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
