Obituary of Catherine F. Kraft

Mrs. Catherine F. Kraft, 77, of Mary Street, Palatine Bridge, NY died peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Mountain Valley Hospice. Born in Lasselsville, NY she was the daughter of Milburn and Beatrice Sponable. A lifelong area resident, Catherine graduated from St. Johnsville High School. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, visiting family and being a homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Fort Plain Reformed Church and truly was a student of the Bible. On August 7, 1953 she was united in marriage to William Kraft. That union lasted 45 years until his passing in 1998. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Jean Bastian and Janet Montoni. Survivors include her sister, Shirley Greene of Johnstown, NY; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. A Graveside Service of Remembrance will take place on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 11 o'clock at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery with Rev. Nancy Ryan Presiding. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her beloved church or Mountain Valley Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
