Obituary of Barbara M. Carbeneau

Barbara Teetz Carbeneau, 80, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown. She was born March 4, 1930, in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Paul and Hazel Ryder Teetz. She graduated from Broadalbin High School in 1947. On June 13, 1954, she married Leonard Carbeneau. Together they shared over forty seven years together until his passing on August 16, 2001. Barbara loved to read and had a great interest in ceramics. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by a brother, Ray Teetz of Richmond, VA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her beloved husband, Barbara was predeceased by five brothers: Jack, Harold, Richard, Kenneth and Mark and two sisters: Eleanor Brownell and Rosemary Varco. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 9 at 10 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville with the Very Reverend Donald Czelusniak presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205.
