Obituary of Howard H. Foss

Howard H. "Bob" Foss, formerly of Amsterdam/Broadalbin, N.Y., died peacefully at his residence in Doniphan, Missouri on December 18, 2010. Mr. Foss was born September 22, 1932 in Amsterdam, N.Y. the son of the late Pauline and Howard Foss. He retired from General Electric in Schenectady and settled in Ripley County, Mo. Mr. Foss was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force and he was a respected member of the Leather Wings Motorcycle Club. Surviving Mr. Foss is Jeraldine Foss, of Vail Mills, N.Y., who he was married to for 25 years; 1 son, Mark Foss and his wife, Christine of Glen, N.Y. ; 3 daughters, Colleen Mattioli and her husband, Tony of Middle Grove, N.Y., Vicki Ruzycky and her companion, Jim Johnson of Doniphan, Mo. ; Cheryl Sweet of Pikeville, Tn. ; 2 sisters, Beverly Chapman and her husband, John of Broadalbin, N.Y. and Kathryn Krutz and her husband, George of Amsterdam, N.Y. ; 1 brother, Timothy Foss and his wife, Elizabeth of Eden, N.C. and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on January 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Broadalbin Baptist Church on 40 West Main Street in Broadalbin, N.Y., officiated by family friend, David Deuel.
