Obituary of Annette L. Mosher Fuerst

Annette L. Mosher Fuerst, 72, of Union Mills Road, Broadalbin, NY died peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville with her loving family by her side. Born on March 20, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Gladys Price Mosher. A lifelong area resident, Annette was a graduate of Amsterdam High School, Class of 1955. She was first employed by Sears Roebuck Co. She then graduated from the Faxton Hospital School of Nursing in Utica as a Licensed Practical Nurse, which was followed by many years of employment by the Montgomery County Infirmary. Annette finished her working career as the office manager in the family business, the Amsterdam Overhead Door Company. Annette was an avid Yankee fan, and a former member of the Adirondack Players, appearing in many plays. She also hosted her own talk shows on local radio stations WCSS and WKOL. Survivors include her daughter, Sheree Hamrick and her husband Terry of Raleigh, NC; a son, William B. "Bill" Gutowski, Jr. of Broadalbin; two brothers, Clarence W. Mosher and his wife Jacqueline of Glenville and Louis B. Mosher of Amsterdam; her granddaughter, Mai Harrison and her husband Orlando and a great grandson, Isambard Lucas, all of England. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews as well as her beloved pets, Siggy and Juliette. Funeral services will commence on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 1 o'clock at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Interment will then follow in Fairview Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday evening from 4 until 7p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or to Helping Paws Rescue in care of the funeral office.
