We took many walks, Frank and I, when I was in Gloversville staying with my Aunt Fran who lived around the corner from Frank and Carmi. Sometimes we walked as far as North Boulevard, along a curving route of blocks and through the park where he showed me the path from North Park to the next street, which I had never known was there. I thought we covered a good distance at times, until I learned that Frank had once walked all the way to Speculator! He had so much energy and generous spirit, always thinking of and doing for others. He was a gift to the lives of many.
On one of our walks, I learned that it was his grandfather, Mr. Catania, who had sold fresh produce from his truck in the summertime. Mr. Catania was definitely part of our wonderful childhood days in the Woodward Avenue neighborhood, and learning that he was Frank's grandfather was yet one more way that we were connected through friends and relatives who knew and appreciated one another.
I always enjoyed the cocktail hour I occasionally shared with Frank and Carmi when I was staying with my aunt. It was refreshing, comfortable and enjoyable to spend time with these two wonderful, amazing people. And no one could ever make a better Manhatten than Frank! It was also comforting, supportive, and a respite when I was caring for Aunt Fran. Carmi at times sent "treats" for us, and Frank always stopped by to visit and check on things.
I am so very grateful for the blessings I have received in having both Frank and Carmi in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with Carmi and family, and I wish all the comfort there can be in knowing there are many who celebrate Frank's life and appreciate you all.

Sending my sincere condolences to the Frank's family. I have worked at Royal Mountain Ski area for over 20 years and have had the pleasure of knowing Frank. Always kind, always a smile and loved to ski. May you hold fond memories of him at this difficult time.
