Obituary of Susan A. Thurber

Susan A. Thurber, 46, of Broadalbin, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010. She was born September 28, 1964 in Amsterdam, the daughter of the late Edward and Jeannette Loucks Thurber. Susan attended the former Broadalbin Central High School, where her focus was in horticulture. She enjoyed being outdoors; camping, fishing and especially gardening. Susan had a great sense of humor and a big heart. She always put everybody else ahead of herself. If anybody ever needed anything- they only had to ask her and it would be done. She loved children and had a very special way with them. She will be very sadly missed by many. Susan is survived by a brother, Ned Thurber Leanne of Perth; two sisters: Mary Jo Thurber Pete Easterly and Sandra Bruce Walter, both of Broadalbin; three nephews: Justin and Jared Thurber and Thomas Bruce; a niece, Jamie Bruce; two aunts: Cecilia Streifert and Rose McGuire Frank; an uncle: Tom Loucks; her beloved cat, Ninny and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by an infant daughter, Erica Brown. Family and friends are invited and may call Wednesday, January 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Jeffords and Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin, NY 12025. Cremation took place at ParkView Crematorium, Schenectady.
