Obituary of Teresa M. Sardonia

Teresa M. Sardonia, 82, formerly of Prospect Street, passed away peacefully Monday morning at the Mount Loretto Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Amsterdam on April 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Domenica Vidulich Colidapietro. A lifelong resident, she was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Teresa was employed for a time at the American News Company in Amsterdam, as a bookkeeper. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church. Accomplished in sewing, her niece and nephews looked forward each year to the Christmas pajamas she made for them. She was married to James J. Sardonia until his passing in January of 1999. She also lost her brothers, Daniel and Joseph Colidapietro. Teresa leaves her sister, Rochina Catello of Amsterdam as well as her niece Paula Natole, nephews Rocco, Michael and Alex Catello; grand nieces and nephews and cousins. Services are Thursday at 10:15 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial which will be offered at 11:15 am at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, Fr. Lawrence J. Decker, celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Teresa's name to Mt. Carmel Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
