Obituary of Susan L. Stumbrice
Mrs. Susan L. Stumbrice, age 43, of Gloversville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
She was born July 30, 1967 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late Leroy Caska and Margaret Morehouse Caska. She later resided in Germany and Hawaii and has lived in Gloversville for most of her life.
Susan was employed at the time of her death as a dispatcher by Glove City Taxi for many years. She was of catholic faith and attended the former Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the Redmen's Club of Johnstown. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her grandchildren and watching soap operas, especially "The Days of Our Lives".
Survivors include: her husband, John Stumbrice, Sr. of Gloversville; five children, James Stumbrice, John Stumbrice, Jr; Shawn Stumbrice, Amanda Stumbrice and Darlene Stumbrice, all of Gloversville; two sisters, Diane Caska of Johnstown and Brenda Geathers of Colonie; four grandchildren, Terrence Stumbrice, Alison Stumbrice, Eugene Shaw and Aidin Hine; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by another sister, Debbie Foos.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2011 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville. A Prayer Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with the Very Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Cremation will take place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Susan's husband, John.
