Obituary of James L. Hill

James L. Hill, 64, of Hagaman went to be with the Lord, January 20, 2011. He passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. He was born March 3, 1946 in Camden, NJ, son of the late Florence Howell. James was raised in New Jersey and attended school there. He went into the United States ARMY and was honorably discharged in 1967. A year later he married Linda Ware, October 31, 1986. Their union lasted a beautiful 24 years. They lived in Carlisle, NY most of their years together, spending their last 12 in Hagaman. He is a former member of the ELKS Lodge as well as the VFW in New Jersey. He enjoyed football, especially the Jets, working on cars, hunting and target shooting. He also enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows and puttering around the house. In addition to his wife Linda Ware Hill and her family, his family includes his brothers, William, Richard Walter and Robert Hill, and his sisters Betty Ann and Doris. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. In accordance to Jim's wishes he will be cremated and his remains will be interred in the spring at the Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery. Cremation will take place at Vale Cemetery Crematorium in Schenectady, NY.
