Obituary of Theresa Conti McMullen

Theresa Conti McMullen, 78, passed away January 26, 2011 at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas. Born in Amsterdam, NY she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Eleanora Conti. She was the youngest of nine children and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. Theresa was married to Thomas McMullen until he passed after seventeen years of a wonderful union. Theresa worked as a proof reader for many years at Amsterdam Print and later for an insurance company before she retired. Theresa moved to Las Vegas in 1990 and was a parishioner of St. Viator Roman Catholic Church. She was also active in the St. Viator School community where her grandson attended, along with the many charity services provided by the church. Theresa was also active in the community where she resided, making some wonderful friends. Theresa was cherished and will be missed by all her family, especially her two grandsons. She was preceded in passing not only by her parents and husband, but by the recent death of her sister Margaret Robusto, as well as her sister Annie Morello and brothers Joseph, John, Anthony, Thomas and Ernest Conti. She leaves her daughter Susan McMullen of Las Vegas and her two sons Kai and Ashton McMullen; a son Wayne McMullen and his wife Tammy and their daughter Alonna McMullen of Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; her brother James Conti and his wife Mary Ann of Amsterdam as well as extended family members in Las Vegas and New York. Remembrance Masses were held on January 30th and on Feb 22, 2011 at St. Viator?s Chapel. A spring interment will take place at St. Michael?s Cemetery, Amsterdam. Her family has entrusted her care to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
