Obituary of Glenice M. Wrobel

Glenice M. Wrobel, 72, of Brower Road in Palatine Bridge, passed away January 27, 2011, at her home after a brief illness with her loving family at her side. She was born September 14, 1938, in Halifax, Vermont, the daughter of the late Glenis and Effie Chase Goulding. Glenice has benn a resident of the area since 1993; she was previously a resident of Florida until her husband's passing. She was married to the late Donald Wrobel in 1978. Glenice worked in the restaurant business most of her life. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, crossword puzzles and reading. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for over fifty years. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the companionship of her cat, Missy. Survivors include her daughters, Michelle Gary Markert and Pamela Rulison, both of Palatine Bridge; her grandchildren, Amber Chris Strout and Warren Rulison, as well as great-grandchildren, Layla Strout and Sterling Rulison. Many stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins; and a sister, Thelma Bruse also survive. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters; and a grandson, Michael Waffle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
