Obituary of Jean Kedik
Jean Miller Kedik, 90, of Highway 161 passed away Friday evening at the Mountain Valley Hospice House in Gloversville.
Born in Amsterdam on April 11, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Patricia Ruby Miller. She was a 1937 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School and the Amsterdam School Of Commerce in 1938. Jean worked at GE during the War as a clerk, and then for over thirty years as a bookkeeper in the payroll department of Fiberglass Industries. She was a parishioner of the former St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church.
Jean married Stanley L. Kedik in 1939. He predeceased her in 1961. She also lost both of her sons, an infant Adam Kedik and in 2007, her son Stanley P. Kedik.
A brother, Leo Miller and sisters Bernice Bersing and Stella Mattas also predeceased her.
She leaves her dear friends Ed and Donna Rhodes of Gloversville and nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Jean's request, her services will be private and there will be no calling hours. Interment will take place in St. Casimir's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Mountain Valley Hospice, in care of the funeral home office. Her arrangements are under the care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue.
