Obituary of Frances L. Jennings

Frances L. Jennings, 91, formerly of Marshville, NY, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born November 18, 1919 in Coventry, NY the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Earl Harrington. . She was a graduate of Marathon High School. She married the late John L. Jennings July 16, 1938, their union lasted a beautiful 65 years until his passing in 2004. She worked on their family farm until 1968, she then worked as a cook. She was a great cook, she enjoyed working in her garden and canning her home grown vegetables. She was also known for keeping busy knitting, sewing and crocheting. She was a loving mother and grandmother, she greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. Her loving family includes sons, Ray Norma Jennings of Palatine Bridge, DuaneCarol Jennings of Florida, Jerry Mary Jo Jennings of West Moreland, Calvin Jennings of Palatine Bridge, and James Melissa Barton Jennings of Canajoharie; daughters Joyce Sam Clemments of S.C. and JoAnn Alex Christman of Epratah. She is also survived by a brother, Bill Herrington, several grand children, great grand children, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband John L. Jennings, son John Jennings and two brothers Don and Louis Harrington.
