Obituary of Chris Covey

Chris Covey, 61, of Chrisler Ave, Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully on February 5, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Amsterdam, NY on February 2, 1950 a son of the late Rolin and Ilene Covey. Chris was raised and attended schools in the Amsterdam area. He married Renee Redden on July 7, 2002. His loving family includes his wife Renee Covey of Schenectady, NY, his sons DerakChristine Covey of Amsterdam, John Covey of Amsterdam and Charles Covey of Amsterdam. His daughters, Delana Michael Miller of Johnstown, NY. Patty Etherton of Cobleskill, NY, Marcie Covey of South Carolina and Crystal Covey of Amsterdam. His brothers Frank Donna Covey of Amsterdam, Michael Covey of Broadalbin, NY. Sisters, Rebecca Earl Brown of Gloversville, NY, Linda Oscar Porath of Amsterdam. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents Chris was predeceased by his brother Clifford Covey in 1991, a niece Rolinda Porath in 1994 and a nephew Kevin Porath in 1996. There will be no funeral services. Interment will be in the spring in Greenhill Cemetery in Amsterdam. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
